Verse: “We…are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as from the Lord, the Spirit.” 2 Corinthians 3:18
“Never forget: God doesn’t want us to just feel His presence. He wants to change our lives. He wants to take away our self-centeredness and make us more like Christ. He also wants to teach us His truth and prepare us to become His servants.” (Billy Graham Wisdom for Each Day)
Is there anything distracting you from Jesus? This can be a particular area in your life which you know does not glorify Christ, or simply narcissism. However, the journey should never be about us- but rather Christ. Sanctification removes the emphasis off of me and refocuses on Him. Jesus becomes the Star of attention. I become His vessel…a mere spectator from afar yearning to experience His glory.
Sometimes this can be painful. Troubles and hardships do not disappear. Allow God to be your flashlight through the Valley of Darkness (Psalm 23). Transformation does not occur over night. Becoming more like Christ is a journey marked with struggle, failure, peace and victory. The Christian life is a marathon pursued on broken glass. Sweat will burn your eyes. Joints will hurt. Alas, your feet will be ravaged and bloody. Yet never take your eyes off Him Crucified (1 Corinthians 2:2). There is a finish line- and King Christ is our reward in Heaven.
Quote: “Mountaintops are for views and inspiration, but fruit is grown in the valleys.” Billy Graham

Prayer: Father God I surrender all. Lead me. Guide me. Transform me to be more like Your Son Jesus Christ. Help me enjoy the hilltops, but not be fearful of the valleys. For I know that You are with me. Lord, I know You will protect me. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
* Sanctification- Is the state or process of being set apart or made holy, to become more like Jesus.
