Verse: “We must go through many hardships to enter the Kingdom of God.” Acts 14:22
If there was anyone who experienced hardships, it was the Apostle Paul. He was beaten, rejected, banished from cities, imprisoned, and eventually killed for his faith. Furthermore, the Disciples encountered adversities too. They each suffered greatly for their beliefs- most of the men died too for following Christ. Jesus Himself experienced affliction while on earth. No distress could ever amount to the pain felt while being crucified at the Cross at Calvary.
What’s the secret of survival? Total surrender…Reckless abandonment. Live completely for Jesus. Be all in. Those troubles will never disappear. Don’t listen to the Prosperity Gospel. It’s a lie. As John 16: 33 declares in this world there will in fact be tribulation. However, if you keep reading the verse you quickly discover the victory that every Christ Follower has… “but take heart; I have overcome the world.”
Quote: “The best things in life are the result of being wounded. Wheat must be crushed before becoming bread, and incense must be burned by fire before its fragrance is set free. The earth must be broken with a sharp plow before being ready to receive the seed. And it is a broken heart that pleases God. Yes, the sweetest joys of life are the fruits of sorrow. Human nature seems to need suffering to make it fit to be a blessing to the world.” Streams in the Desert

Prayer: Father God, I want to live for You today. I’m all in. I lay down my troubles, my hurts and my desires before Your feet. I surrender all. I pray that my actions and words glorify Your name. Shine through me amidst these difficulties. Lead me. Guide me. Be my compass. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
